Community Bank serving Central Vermont since 1875, headquartered in Randolph VT.
In 1875, William H. DuBois, along with 24 other local residents and business leaders,
organized and established the National Bank of West Randolph in order to meet the credit
and deposit needs of its flourishing agricultural and manufacturing community. Mr. DuBois
became RNB?s first president and also served as State Treasurer, performing both duties
from his Bank office.
The Bank?s original name reflected the fact that the community of Randolph was initially
known as West Randolph. However, in 1891, by voter sanction, West Randolph became Randolph
and subsequently, we became Randolph National Bank.

- Vermont National Bank
The successful growth of Chittenden Corporation started from a solid foundation of
traditional, local banking. From that core strength, strategic changes have transformed
Chittenden from a Vermont only institution into a regional financial services company. Our
growth has occurred through targeted acquisitions of other banks and continued expansion
of specialized businesses.
These three areas, traditional banking, targeted acquisitions and specialized businesses,
give the corporation a broad foundation aimed at sustained growth and balance. Chittenden
Corporation's assets of over $6 billion, diversified revenue sources and a diversified
customer base have promoted the consistent performance of Chittenden Corporation over the
years.
